Another perfect stay at this brilliant chain, absolutely faultless.
The reception and security staff are always super friendly and eager to help. We stayed in a private room which was modern, comfortable and cleaned daily.
The bar is great as are the staff and there are plenty of activities and opportunities to meet other travelers.
The laundry service is great too, it was a very welcome addition.
Cusco is the perfect springboard for great adventures and Kokopelli Cusco is a brilliant home from home while you are there.
The food and drinks are amazing, there are at least 3+ activities to do every day with lots of variety. Everything is stunning and very clean. We went out for an activity to Carnival with Osvaldo and had a blast, he’s super friendly and outgoing, and very good at throwing/aiming water balloons!
We spent a total of 11 nights at the Viajero Kokopelli in Cusco. We had a wonderful time here and would check in again in a heartbeat! The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating! The hostel places great value on cleanliness. Every …
Stayed for 6 nights in a private room (we were upgraded for free by the lovely reception staff) and cannot recommend this Viajero enough. The building is so spacious, full of artwork and incredibly clean for a hostel. It was like staying in a hotel with all the perks of a hostel. If you like peace and quiet at night for those 3am starts, room C104 is the one you want to request - we slept so well!
The security is great (bands actually checked upon entry) and luggage is stored very securely. Worth the higher price point for such a fantastic stay and to be so centrally located.
This is my first solo travel as a woman and I felt really safe at this hostel. I first stayed at a 12 bed dorm with curtains and it was the best room I stayed in. Even though there were 12 people in the room, it was very spacious so it never felt too crowded. The curtains helped with some privacy.
Then I left for the 5 day Salkantay Trek and I left my big luggage here for free! When I came back I had to change rooms and this time I was in an 8 person dorm. This room had no windows but had curtains in the bed which was good for privacy but at times it felt like there was not enough ventilation in the room.
I got really sick after this and the staff took great care of me. They offered to call a doctor, they extended my stay in the same room, same bed so I didn’t have to move and they helped me a lot. They also accommodated for my food needs as I had food poisoning I could only eat a few things and they made them for me!
Overall great experience and I felt welcome and safe! It is a bit more pricey than other hostels but if you take advantage of the events I think it is worth it!
One the best hostels I’ve been too, super welcoming the hosts were really attentive. All amenities that you need and the place is huge! It feels like a small community and I enjoyed the daily activities that they had. Teo was super helpful, look forward to returning here!
I had a wonderful time here and made some lifelong friends! The walking tour was amazing, I loved learning about the history of the city and the very streets that we walked down and we visited several places that I went back to over and over. I would definitely recommend staying here during your visit and hopping on all the walking tours and other events offered by the hostel!
We stayed in 2 dorm beds in Kokopelli in Cusco as we had wanted to try one of these chains for a while! It was more expensive than other hostels in the area for more people in a room, but the beds were very comfy and the curtains were a plus. There was no kitchen, and on check out we felt we were overcharged for laundry (and met other people who had said similar) which was already expensive, and they tried to charge us for the “free upgrade” they gave us. It’s got a fun sociable vibe but is so massive it can be hard to meet people, and the bar is on the pricey side. Overall, the hostel is fine but not worth the extra money and we moved after 2 nights.
